‎Visit to Sudan for reconciliation between Government and Military

At Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s invitation, a representative gathering of leaders of international Islamic movements was held at the central headquarters in Mansurah to develop a united Muslim position on the American attack on Iraq.
A major public gathering was held at Mochi Gate, Lahore, to commemorate Jamaat’s Foundation Day, with more than 100,000 workers participating.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited Mansurah and held four hours of negotiations with Ameer-e-Jamaat Qazi Hussain Ahmad.
At a subsequent joint press conference, the Prime Minister announced his acceptance of all Jamaat demands.
Large-scale relief and rehabilitation activities were carried out for those affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the northern areas of the Frontier Province on 1 February.
A three-day public gathering of Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab was held at Mansurah and addressed by leading personalities from Jamaat and across the country.
Following the victory at Khost, Ameer-e-Jamaat Qazi Hussain Ahmad visited Khost and Kabul.
Ameer-e-Jamaat Qazi Hussain Ahmad travelled to Sudan on a reconciliation mission to help end the conflict between the Sudanese government and the military.
Jamaat supported the Shariat Act passed by the National Assembly and demanded its implementation.
