Separation from the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad
- On 2 May, Jamaat announced its separation from the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad because the government had failed to implement its manifesto.
- A nationwide Day of Thanksgiving was observed on 26 April 1992 following the victory in Afghanistan.
- As part of Jamaat-e-Islami’s fiftieth-anniversary commemorations, a three-day seminar titled “The Role of Jamaat-e-Islami and Syed Maududi in the Islamic Renaissance” was held at Alhamra Hall on 7 February.
- The seminar was addressed by leaders of national and international Islamic movements.
- Seventy-five delegates representing 40 organisations from 28 countries across four continents participated.
- At Jamaat’s appeal, Yaum-ul-Quds was observed throughout the country.
- In September, Tehreek-e-Mehnat held a three-day All-Pakistan gathering at Wah Cantt, attended by thousands of workers and labourers from across the country.
- Jamaat launched a nationwide anti-bribery campaign and presented a 20-point agenda for eliminating bribery.
- Qazi Hussain Ahmad was elected Ameer-e-Jamaat for a second term.
