Ummah Unity Conference
- Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab organised a Shuhada-e-Kashmir Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan Ground.
- Large numbers of the families and parents of Kashmiri martyrs participated.
- An Ummah Unity Conference was held at Mansurah under Jamiat Ittehad-ul-Ulema, with extensive participation by leading figures from Pakistan and abroad.
- Following severe criticism over negative electoral results, the Ameer-e-Jamaat resigned on 19 January. At a Majlis-e-Shura meeting held on 22 January, the resignation was accepted and Chaudhry Rehmat Elahi was elected Acting Ameer.
- In the election for Ameer-e-Jamaat held on 27 February, Qazi Hussain Ahmad was again elected by a large majority.
- From 28 May to 2 June, the Ameer-e-Jamaat visited Türkiye, attended the Refah Party’s celebrations marking the conquest of Istanbul, and delivered an address.
- From 18 to 26 June, the Ameer-e-Jamaat addressed major gatherings and Kashmir conferences in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Nelson, Bradford, Oldham, Manchester and Glasgow.
