Qazi Hussain Ahmad Arrested

  • On the completion of 50 years since Pakistan’s establishment, a national seminar titled “What We Lost and What We Gained” was held at the Mansurah Auditorium.
  • A nationwide Day of Protest was observed on 28 February against the Nawaz Sharif government’s abolition of the Friday weekly holiday.
  • Meetings and gatherings were held in all divisions of the country.
  • A gathering of the central and provincial office-bearers of affiliated organisations was also held.
  • An Accountability Cell was established under General Muhammad Hussain Ansari to help make the country’s accountability system more effective.
  • Ameer-e-Jamaat Qazi Hussain Ahmad was arrested on 20 August and detained at Kund Rest House.
