Protest against the CTBT
- A nationwide Day of Protest was observed on 6 January for the restoration of the Friday weekly holiday.
- Under the leadership of the Ameer-e-Jamaat, a “Save Kahuta” rally was held in Islamabad on 3 April.
- On 21 May, Jamaat organised an All-Parties Conference in Lahore in response to India’s nuclear tests.
- A protest gathering against the corruption of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was held at Adda Plot, Raiwind, on 9 August.
- Nationwide activities for the enforcement of Shariah were held on 1 September.
- On 14 September, a protest against the CTBT was held outside Parliament under the leadership of the Ameer-e-Jamaat.
- Jamaat’s historic public gathering was held at Faisal Mosque, Islamabad, on 23, 24 and 25 October.
- On 6 December, after the Nawaz government had signed the Chemical Weapons Convention in 1997 and signalled its intention to sign the CTBT, Jamaat organised nationwide protests.
- Nationwide protests were held on 18 December against the American attack on Iraq.
- A Day of Solidarity with the oppressed Muslims of Kosovo was observed on 21 December.
