Jamiat won in Student Union

  • Political parties were restored.
  • Student unions were permitted to hold elections.
  • Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Pakistan participated in university elections as an organisation. Usman Ghani became the first president of the University of the Punjab elected on Jamiat’s platform.
  • Maulana Khalil Ahmad Hamidi was appointed Nazim of Dar al-Urubah.
