Jamaat banned again by President Ayub

Jamaat was declared an unlawful organisation. All members of the Majlis-e-Shura were imprisoned, and the offices were sealed. State-controlled media launched a campaign of false propaganda.
The Supreme Court restored Jamaat.
President Ayub Khan was compelled to sign the Fundamental Rights Amendment Bill.
The Combined Opposition was formed, and Jamaat joined it. Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was nominated as its presidential candidate.
Jamaat secured only one seat each in the provincial assemblies of East and West Pakistan.
After Ayub Khan was elected President through wealth, coercion and electoral manipulation, Jamaat proposed a boycott of the assembly elections, but the high command of the Combined Opposition did not accept the proposal.
