Ameer released after 20 months imprisonment

In June, the Ameer of Jamaat was released after 20 months of imprisonment.
Maulana Maududi criticised the constitutional recommendations presented by the government and outlined the framework of an Islamic constitution.
The publication of Maulana Maududi’s speech was prohibited. The government closed all periodicals/publications sympathetic to Jamaat.
Contact and relations were established with the Muslim Brotherhood.
