East Pakistan Separated


  • The Ameer-e-Jamaat, the Qayyim-e-Jamaat, and Maulana Khalil Ahmad Hamidi, Nazim of Dar al-Urubah, toured Europe and the Middle East.
  • Al-Badr fought in defence of the country, but the authorities lost the war. Jamaat supported the Government of Pakistan against the Mukti Bahini and Indian intervention.
  • India attacked Pakistan’s eastern wing, leading to the tragedy of the fall of Dhaka. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto assumed power as Civil Martial Law Administrator.
