During August, protest meetings, processions and sit-ins were held in Karachi, Lahore and other cities against the military coup in Egypt and the overthrow of the elected government.
An international conference of Islamic movements on the situation in Egypt was held in Lahore on 25 and 26 September. The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami hosted a reception and dinner at Mansurah in honour of international leaders.
A national conference commemorating Jamaat-e-Islami’s founder, Maulana Syed Abul A‘la Maududi, was held on 27 September.
A seminar on the prohibition of interest was held at Mansurah on 12 November.
Nationwide protests were held on 22 November against NATO supplies and drone attacks.
An Anti-Privatisation Conference was held on 11 December.
A nationwide Day of Protest was observed on 12 December following the martyrdom of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leader Molla Abdul Quader. Major protest meetings and memorial seminars were held in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities.
Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Imran Khan, Hafiz Saeed, Talal Akbar Bugti, Punjab Governor Syed Mahmood Ahmad, caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Sahibzada Abul Khair Dr Muhammad Zubair, Nisar Ali Khan, Hafiz Akif Saeed, the British and Turkish ambassadors, and other prominent national and international personalities met Ameer-e-Jamaat Syed Munawar Hasan at Mansurah.
