Connecting a Generation with Opportunity

Z-Connect is envisioned as a broad youth ecosystem for Gen Z and the emerging Gen Alpha generation, connecting young people with skills, enterprise, leadership, sports and constructive opportunities. It brings different pathways together so that a young person can move from discovering an opportunity to developing a capability and ultimately becoming economically independent and socially responsible.

Technology and Communications education through Bano Qabil alongside practical vocational training in areas such as electrical work, solar technology, plumbing, healthcare support, mobile and computer maintenance and other market-relevant skills.

Entrepreneurship training, incubation, startup support and pathways towards interest-free microfinance for young people seeking to build sustainable livelihoods.

03. Leadership & Civic Participation

Bano Qabil

Skills That Open Doors

Bano Qabil, an initiative of Alkhidmat Foundation, is a mass-scale skills programme designed primarily to equip young people with market-relevant technology and professional capabilities. 

Beginning with free IT education, the programme has expanded nationally and continues to develop pathways in digital skills, emerging technologies and employability. Official Alkhidmat material currently reports more than one million registrations nationwide.

A healthy democracy needs more than voters. It needs generations that learn how to debate, organise, represent others, solve community problems and accept responsibility for public decisions.

Jamaat-e-Islami seeks to create opportunities through which young people can understand public institutions and develop the confidence and character required for responsible leadership. JI has also publicly spoken about organising youth at grassroots level and creating opportunities for young people to emerge through local participation.

Design Youth & Empowerment as one of the most energetic and contemporary pages on the website. It should feel significantly younger than About JI or Knowledge & Resources without becoming informal or visually chaotic.

Make Z-Connect visually represent the whole youth ecosystem, using four connected pathways rather than unrelated programme cards. Give Bano Qabil a strong impact section with live statistics and authentic training imagery. Leadership should use civic imagery such as campuses, community meetings, local government, debates and young organisers rather than generic podium photographs.

Use real young people, strong typography, movement, subtle interactive elements and modern card layouts. Avoid making every image a political rally, and avoid dividing male and female youth into visibly unequal visual treatment. The page should communicate energy, capability, opportunity and responsibility.

Developer Brief

Maintain central records for programmes, opportunities, events and youth stories so the Youth page pulls existing content rather than duplicating it.  Youth Stories should pull records tagged Youth from Community Stories; youth events should pull from Events & Dialogues; Digital Da‘wah opportunities should pull from Digital & Innovation; volunteer CTAs should open the Get Involved volunteer form with Youth or the relevant skill category preselected.

The Z-Connect portal should ultimately act as the transaction layer for registrations and opportunities, while the JI Youth & Empowerment page remains the public narrative and discovery layer. Each programme or opportunity should therefore have a single canonical record/URL, with cards reused dynamically across the homepage, Youth page and related sections.
