Hafiz Naeem Demands Budget Relief for Salaried Class

Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has called for major relief for the salaried class in the upcoming budget, saying that ordinary working families are already under severe pressure from inflation, utility bills, transport costs, and rising household expenses.

Speaking on the economic situation, Hafiz Naeem said that the burden of taxes should not continue to fall on employees, workers, small traders, and middle-class families. He said the government must design a budget that protects the common citizen instead of serving elite interests.

Relief for Salaried Citizens

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that salaried individuals contribute heavily to the national tax system but receive little relief in return. He demanded practical measures to reduce their financial burden and restore dignity to working households.

He said electricity tariffs, fuel prices, and gas charges directly affect the cost of food, transport, production, and daily living. Therefore, energy reforms must be treated as a central part of economic relief.

Hafiz Naeem said that the budget should focus on employment, affordable utilities, fair taxation, public welfare, and economic justice. He said the country cannot move forward while ordinary citizens are asked to sacrifice and powerful groups continue to enjoy benefits.
