The enduring strength of Jamaat-e-Islami lies in a mission greater than any individual. Its leadership exists to carry forward the responsibility of da‘wah, tarbiyah, Iqamat-e-Deen, public service and constitutional struggle.

Jamaat is neither organised around a political family nor dependent upon the personality of a single leader. Responsibility is entrusted through consultation, election, organisational discipline and accountability.

Yet institutions are carried forward by people who embody their values. Some provide intellectual direction. Some organise and train workers. Some confront injustice in public life. Others serve quietly through education, welfare, scholarship and social reform.

Together, they represent a tradition in which leadership is understood not as privilege, but as an amanah.

Carrying the Trust Forward

Jamaat-e-Islami’s current leadership represents the continuity of a democratic, consultative and disciplined Islamic movement.

From the Ameer-e-Jamaat and central office-bearers to regional, district, city and women’s leadership, responsibility is assigned through Jamaat’s constitutional and organisational process rather than inherited through family privilege.

The current leadership works across Pakistan to advance Islamic reform, public service, youth development, constitutional politics, accountable governance and the protection of ordinary citizens.

Central Leadership

The central leadership determines Jamaat-e-Islami’s national direction, organisational priorities, policy positions, public campaigns and ideological programme.

It coordinates the movement’s political, organisational, educational, welfare and da‘wah responsibilities across Pakistan.

Ameer-e-Jamaat

The Ameer-e-Jamaat provides overall ideological, organisational and political leadership while remaining accountable to Jamaat’s Constitution, Majlis-e-Shura and members.

Secretary-General

The Secretary-General oversees central coordination, implementation of decisions and communication between Jamaat’s national and regional structures.
