Khaled Mashal

Biography & Religio-Political Contribution: Khaled Mashal is the veteran leader and former chief of the Hamas Political Bureau. Having survived a notorious Israeli assassination attempt in Jordan in 1997, he led the movement through crucial decades of geopolitical shifts, establishing Hamas's external diplomatic network and securing regional alliances necessary to sustain the Palestinian resistance. 

Impact on the Ummah: Mashal effectively challenged the Western political paradigm that sought to legitimize the Zionist occupation. By positioning the Palestinian cause as an Islamic issue of global significance, he gave the Ummah the political clarity and confidence to reject compromise on sacred lands. 

Connection with Jamaat-e-Islami: Mashal has long-standing fraternal ties with Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan. He has visited Pakistan  as a student. JI Pakistan regards Mashal as a master strategist of the Islamic world, continually supporting his diplomatic missions and mobilizing public opinion in Pakistan according to his calls for solidarity.
